Cloakcat Magazine
This project begins with the physical object of a “lock” and expands into the concepts of “secret” and “code” contained within it. The lock is understood not simply as a tool, but as a symbol of the information and identity that individuals seek to hide and protect, while a secret is defined as a personal domain that is not revealed to others.
Rather than merely concealing these secrets, the project focuses on transforming them into codes that can only be interpreted by certain individuals. Inspired by the work of Jim Sanborn—who combines encrypted text with physical structures to both conceal and reveal meaning—this project visualizes that approach through the creation of a magazine.
